The following guidelines are provided to clarify when and where to use the EnviroStars logo.
Placement of the Logo
The EnviroStars logo may be used in your company's brochures, advertisements, fact sheets, letterhead, business cards, newsletters, website (we can link with you), and other promotional materials that promote the company image as a whole. The EnviroStars logo does not apply to and/or endorse a specific product or service. Also, when promoting your business as an EnviroStars, always include your star rating (i.e. rated three stars by the EnviroStars program or We're an EnviroStars - three stars.) You may use the EnviroStars logo no matter what your star rating is as long as you have qualified for EnviroStars certification.. If you are a franchise business or have more than one store location, please ensure that it is clear in your materials which shops are EnviroStars and which are not.
The EnviroStars logo should be placed in a visible location on your printed materials. The standard colors are black and Pantone 313 blue ink. The logo can be printed in color or in black and white. EnviroStars is spelled as one word with the E and the S capitalized. On printed materials the E and the S should be spelled out in regular caps and the rest of the letters in small caps. When printed in color, the word "Stars" should appear in blue. When printed in black and white, the word "Stars" should appear gray (either as a 50% screen or as Pantone 401). You may not change the color or the spelling of the EnviroStars logo without permission from an EnviroStars program representative.
Please use recycled paper with the highest percentage of post-consumer content and soy-based inks whenever possible for printing your materials.
Rights of Usage
The EnviroStars logo is the property of the EnviroStars program, care of the Local Hazardous Waste Management Program in King County. It may be used by businesses in King, Kitsap, Pierce, Snohomish and Whatcom Counties that are certified EnviroStars. This logo signifies that your business will uphold the standards of the EnviroStars program by properly managing and continually working to reduce hazardous waste. Failure to adhere to these standards will discontinue your EnviroStars status and void all rights to the use of the logo.
If your business is found to have an environmental problem that could potentially result in regulatory action or environmental damage, we ask that you temporarily withdraw your EnviroStars status by notifying your EnviroStars program representative. Also, you must not promote your business as an EnviroStars certified or use the EnviroStars logo in promotional efforts until the problem in resolved.
