  Become a Co-Star and Help Promote the EnviroStars Program

As a Co-Star in the EnviroStars program, your organization can help the effort to reduce hazardous waste by promoting the EnviroStars program and environmentally responsible practices.

We will provide you with educational materials such as videos, brochures, articles, etc. to help you inform others about the EnviroStars program and how to reduce hazardous waste. In return for your participation and support, you will receive recognition and other valuable benefits. Please contact us if you are interested in becoming a Co-Star.

To be considered as a Co-Star, you must meet the following requirements:
Maintain a responsible environmental record.
Do business and/or provide a service in participating counties.
Establish an ongoing plan for your participation as a Co-Star.
Educate all employees about the EnviroStars program and their role as Co-Star.
Actively promote EnviroStars in standard and creative ways.

In addition, you must participate in at least 4 of the following:
Serve as a mentor to potential EnviroStars businesses.
Sponsor a workshop on environmentally responsible practices or host an EnviroStars presentation.
Speak about EnviroStars and "bmps" at industry group meetings.
Put a promotional or editorial article in your company or industry publication.
Place an educational/promotional display in your building.
Create an announcement, insert or mailing about EnviroStars and distribute to customers or members of your organization.
Issue a challenge to organization members or to similar businesses.
Provide financial resources, goods or services to the EnviroStars Cooperative.
Offer special rates or educational opportunities with EnviroStars businesses.
Feature EnviroStars businesses in promotional materials, websites, newsletters, etc.
Implement other creative ideas with approval from the EnviroStars Cooperative.

For your participation, you will receive the following benefits:
A framed certificate for display in your lobby or office.
Use of a standard tag line to promote your company as an EnviroStars Co-Star.
Written press release recognizing your support of the EnviroStars program.
Reference as a supporter of the EnviroStars program in certain promotional materials, presentations, networking opportunities, booth events, websites, etc.
Recognition as a Co-Star lasts for one year and may be renewed annually.
